It was perfect weather on Saturday, May 11th as tennis players came out to do battle against one another for the Mountain View Tennis Club’s Annual Singles Tournament at the Rengstorff Courts. We had a good draw and had competition at the 4.0, 3.5 and 3.0 level of play. Everyone had a great time and Jeremy Chen did a good job of running the tournament and Jill Nagahara-Evans provided excellent food for both breakfast and lunch. No one walked away hungry!

Here are the finals winners:

Men’s 4.0 – Rashid Ahmed had a very close match against Kang Chen to win the final. Rashid won the tiebreak to win the match.

Men’s 3.5 – Tom Shreve defeated Lonnie Hordon to capture the prize.

Men’s 3.0 - Bryan Brown defeated Xian Wu to take the final.

Women’s 3.5 – Nichole Anglin defeated Terrie Rayl to win the women’s title.

Women’s 3.0 – Francesca Paolini defeated all comers in the round robin tournament to win the bracket.

All winners were awarded Swetka’s Tennis gift certificates for their victories.
