Tournaments |
2008
MVTC Tournaments
The tournament season comprises monthly tournaments from March to October, which are held at Rengstorff Park. These events are open to Mountain View Tennis Club members only except for the City Championships and member/guest events. Entry fees are $12.00 (Non-Members $17.00) per person. Tournaments are two-day events unless otherwise stated and include a consolation round for each level. The entry fee covers food, balls, and trophies. PLEASE NOTE: Lunch will not be provided at the remaining tournaments if a Food Director is not found (please volunteer by contacting ) , but water and snacks will be available.

Grand Prix points are awarded for each division as follows:
At the end of the season, MVTC holds an invitational tournament in November for the top Grand Prix point getters. New for this season: as recognition for achievement in tournament play, the top Grand Prix male and female will receive a prize and have their names engraved on a plaque at Cuesta (similar to the current most-improved and best sportsmanship plaques). Names of past Grand Prix winners will be gathered and engraved also.
