Our
first tournament of the year is set for Sat., March 21st, and will be
held at Rengstorff Park tennis courts.
This is a FREE 1-day Team Tennis tournament and is open to only MVTC members.
Food and beverages will be provided to all entered players. Feel free
to bring something to share if you like.
Sign-up online, or you may sign-up at the Cuesta
Tennis Center (CTC) at 685 Cuesta Drive, and leave the self-addressed,
stamped "blue card" at their front desk. DO NOT MAIL your blue
card to the P.O. Box as entries are not picked up at the post office.
Entries are due no later than noon, Sunday, March 15th. Draws (showing
start times) will be posted by the Thursday prior to the tournament at
Rengstorff Courts and online.
IMPORTANT
information for Team Tennis Players and Captains!

as to whether you are playing in the AM or PM session. We had such a large
turnout that we will have an AM winner and a PM winner.
Captain Info:
If you cannot attend the captain's meeting for your session, please make
sure that someone from your team attends.
Captain's Meeting at 8:30 AM and 12:00 PM
Starting Times:
* AM - Play
begins promptly at 9:00 AM, so please be warmed up before then. This session
should end by 12:00 PM.
* PM - Play begins promptly at 12:30 PM, so please be warmed up before
then. This session should end by 3:30 PM.
Format:
There will be a variety of doubles (Men's, Women's, Mixed). Rounds will
last for approximately 30 minutes and there are 6 rounds per session.
More details regarding the order of play and court assignments will be
discussed at the Captain's Meetings. If you are not a captain, you do
not need to attend the captain's meeting. Your captain will share the
info with you during a team meeting after the captain's meeting ends.
Eating and Other Info:
* Breakfast
will be available beginning at 8:30
* Lunch will be available beginning at 11:30.
* If you are part of the AM session, please arrive early to help setup.
* If you are part of the PM session, please plan to stay afterwards to
help clean up.
In the event of rain, please
call the MVTC message center at 650-964-6224.

Unfortunately, the
PM session got rained out, so we have no PM winner :(

this was the largest turnout for a tournament in the last 2 years! Let's
keep it up...
