MVTC had a Monster Smash of a tournament to celebrate Halloween. We had a full draw and many of the participants joined in the fun by coming in costume. The awards for best costume went to Peter Dollinger as the great boxer, Mohamed Ali, second place went to Anton Andreev as Super Mario and Marla Lindsay came in third with a great Grumpy costume from Snow White. Congratulations to the winners!

The Ghouls won the team tennis tournament, captained by Perry Lim. On his team were: Nathan Safir, Octavio Farfan, Steve Boljonis, Soheil Esmaeilzadeh, Arun Raghunathan, Claudia Dotson, Lora Saarnio, Sailaja Brahmandam and Juliana Ribeiro.

The Witches/Warlocks came in second captained by Tomomi Albert. They were followed closely behind by the Ghosts captained by Madan Venugopal and then the Goblins captained by Peter Dollinger. We had very competitive matches and a lot of fun. There were many close matches, with sudden death deuces and tie-breakers. A big thank you to the captains for putting together good match-ups. Thanks to Terrie Rayl for running a successful tournament and also being the food chair.
